abstract = "This paper reports a fluorescence-activated bioparticle sorting system with parallel architecture. We have developed a 4 or 8 channel parallel sorting system using thermoreversible gelation polymer (TGP) to control flow. A sorting time of 10 ms in each channel and a sorting rate of 16 particles/s were achieved. Using this system, we sorted fluorescent microbeads and Escherichia coli (E.coli) cells expressing fluorescent proteins.",
