Physical electrochemistry science and technology

研究成果: Article

The behavior of electrochemical systems, whether in batteries, chlorine-caustic generation, photosynthetic solar cells, or electroplating baths is determined by the nature and the rates of atomic and molecular events both within, and across the constituent phases. An understanding of the underlying principles that govern the operation of such important technological devices leads to rational design, new materials and green engineering approaches and, thus, contributes to their further optimization. Physical electrochemistry is concerned with the study of such elementary processes and with the way in which their temporal and spatial coupling elicits a macroscopic response.
