This study aims for effective use of fruit cores discarded from food processing factories as building materials. Fruit cores have been carbonized to enhance its adsorption ability of the pollutant gas. The summaries of the results are as follows; 1. The pore structure developed the appropriate carbonization temperature. In higher temperature, the strength of the carbide was decreased. 2. The carbonization improved the adsorption ability of the pollutant gas. 3. When high adsorption ability is required, the highly carbonized fruit cores should be used where the strength is not needed.
