This paper describes the proper arrangement of stations, taking into consideration the propagation characteristics of radio signals, with the intent of measuring radio source locations with a high degree of accuracy. Stations are arranged in a straight line shape (line arrangement) or rectangular lattice shape (lattice arrangement), with constant separations. Multi-path signals provide an error factor for computing time arrival differences. The location errors of radio sources caused by multi-path delays are estimated by means of computer simulations. The results of simulations have clarified that lattice arrangement can accurately measure radio source location relative to a line arrangement.
