A simple optical modulation system for generating high-order harmonics efficiently was proposed. The system used two filters placed at the optical input and output ports of an optical modulator. The system used reciprocating optical modulation method to enhance the sixth-order harmonic generation. A part of the sideband components was fed to the modulator, to generate specific sideband components. The desired sideband components were taken out of from the modulator without recycling for harmonic generation.
