At the request of the author, the following article has been retracted. Annear, J. M. (2018). Online Education Improves Dementia Knowledge: Evidence From an International Intervention. Journal of Applied Gerontology 2018. Online First March 11, 2018. DOI: 10.1177/0733464818762069. The reasons for retraction are: First, there was a misunderstanding concerning permissions to utilize course and research data with the author’s previous research center. Second, questions have been raised about the reliability of the baseline data. The article cites that responses from volunteers were assessed at the beginning of the online course, however, since the responses were not timestamped, some were potentially submitted after the volunteers had already completed some portion of the online course. While this uncertainty was noted in the Limitations and Future Research section of the article and was not reflected in the distribution of the data, the potential for including later responses as pre-course assessments may have caused the magnitude of effects to be underestimated.
