Sequential interference cancellation system applying to wideband CDMA systems

This paper considers a Interference Canceller System (ICS) consisted of tandem/sequential cancellation for DS-CDMA (Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access) and its traffic capacity. The ICS receiver consists of a coherent detection with a pilot channel to momentary estimate a amplitude and phase of a propagation path. The analysis is conducted to obtain conditional distribution function between each stage of ICS. The analysis results clarifies that number of simultaneous multiple random access subscribers are 40 using five stages ICS when the spreading ratio is 64.
