Simulation and design of heat-integrated distillation column(HIDiC)

抄録

The simulation and design of a HIDiC using gPROMS are presented. To show the validity of the present simulation model, results by the present model were compared with experimental data by a bench-scale HIDiC. The test plant was a double pipe heat exchanger system, which consists of shell and tube column. Good agreement was found between experimental data and the present model. The present model could precisely predict the separation performance of HIDiC. The HIDiC compact heat exchanger showed high energy saving performance compared with the conventional distillation processes. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 18th International Congress of Chemical Process Engineering (Praque, Czech Republic 8/24-28/2008).
