抄録

We modified human serum albumin (Alb) histidine residues with carboxymethyl groups. The Alb solution was heated to obtein Alb gel. Free-swelling capacity of the gel was increased to the ca. 3 times in comparison with that of non-modified gel. This would be due to the increase of hydrophilic groups and the expansion of network space with electrostatic repulsion.
