N2 - A thermodynamic assessment of the Mo-Ru binary system has been attempted by using the Calphad method. Solution and intermediate σ phases were described by regular-type and the compound energy model, respectively, and their Gibbs energy parameters were evaluated through a computerized optimization procedure with available experimental information. The phase diagrams calculated with the obtained thermodynamic parameters are in very good agreements with the reported literature values.
