Visualization system of measured and simulated sound intensities with mixed reality

Visualization of sound intensities helps us to understand the flow of sound energy caused by the sound source and reflections. Especially for the architectural acoustic design, Visualization of the simulated data in real space is useful to comprehend the relationship between sound propagation and the sound-reflecting objects. In this paper, we propose the Mixed Reality visualization system for sound intensities calculated from measurement and simulated data to compare the both data in real space. The simulation data is calculated by 2D-FDTD based on the room shape acquired by simultaneous localization and mapping techniques.
